Glorifying God In Song In Preparation Toward His Second Coming

LaQuita S. Thurman sings Second Soprano. She was born and raised in the Hill Top community of Tacoma Washington. LaQuita comes from a family of musicians so she has enjoyed all types and forms of music.

She began to play the trumpet at 12 years in Mr. Roberts Marching Band at Jason Lee Middle school in Tacoma. She then continued her trumpet playing at Woodrow Wilson High school in Mr. Strickland’s Marching Band. It was a great experience and with both Marching Bands she had the opportunity to be in the Daffodil Parade and Junior Daffodil parade throughout the four years of playing.

LaQuita enjoys writing music, poetry, photography, among other things, and is currently Second Soprano in the Orion Chorale.
